Through dedicated customisation of hardware and machine control Kaleido Technology has raised its state-of-the-art diamond-machining equipment from Moore Nanotechnology Systems to world-leading performance when it comes to accuracy, surface smoothness and surface finish.

Kaleido Technology's equipment customization consists of the following tools:

  • Free-form diamond turningEnhanced thermal stability through active feed-back systems gives the ability to maintain sub-micron accuracy for extended periods of machining time
  • Through proprietary pre-processor software, nanometer-accuracy part programs can be generated from CAD-files (no analytic surface description required)
  • Proprietary control software tool ensures cutting under ideal conditions for any given free-form surface
  • Control software with proprietary interpolation routines leads to ultra-smooth surface entirely free of coherent discretization noise, otherwise typical in free-form cutting.

Kaleido Technology operates a state-of-the-art Moore Nanotechnology Systems 350FG ultra-precision machining systems that has been customized to meet Kaleido’s needs for long-term temperature stability to maintain sub-micron accuracy cutting for several days without tool re-calibration.
